Ipod not syncing all unplayed podcasts

Hello,

I have issues syncing my podcasts to my iPod.

I have an iPod Nano 4th generation (software version 1.0.4) and I'm using iTunes 12.4.3.1.

Everything seems up to date and I've just formatted my iPod.

When I asked iTunes to sync 'All unplayed' of 'All podcasts' it seems to leave out quite a lot. There are podcasts for which it doesn't recognise there are unplayed episodes and there are podcasts where it recognises some unplayed episodes but not all. I have a lot of unplayed episodes but the iPod doesn't seem full with the (random) selection it's making of my unplayed episodes.

Am I missing a setting somewhere?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance 🙂

If these podcast episodes are video (not audio), the ones that do not sync may be "HD" making it too high resolution for your iPod's screen (or not compatible in some other way). iTunes only syncs items that can play on the iPod.

OR, select one of the episodes that does not sync in your iTunes podcasts library, right click it, and Get Info. On the Info window File tab, look at location. If location is not on your local storage, it may be stored online for streaming. iTunes can only sync items if the file is store locally.

Thanks for your reply 🙂

They are all audio file so it's probably not a HD problem.

The location issue is more probable though. I don't have my iPod with me but I've checked some that don't sync and they are not stored locally (while the ones that sync appear to be). I'll try it tonight when I get home but it looks like it should solve the issue.
